Rockwell was a settlement in the state of Washington. It was a place where people lived and worked. Over time, the community became empty, turning it into what is called a ghost town.
Why Was It Called Rockwell?
The name 'Rockwell' came from two things. First, it was named for the rocky land in Adams County. Second, there was a special well dug into rock near where the town was built. This well helped give the community its unique name.
