Rodd Christensen is an American actor. He is most famous for playing Spencer the painter on the BBC children's TV show Balamory. He was the only main actor on the show who was not from Britain. Rodd also presented other educational shows for BBC Two.

Rodd Christensen was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States. He trained to become an actor.
Moving to Scotland
In 1991, Rodd moved to Scotland. He spent eleven years working with young people for a charity called Scripture Union in Fife.
Starring in Balamory
Between 2002 and 2005, Rodd appeared in the popular children's show Balamory. He played the role of Spencer, a friendly painter and musician. Spencer was known for his colorful clothes and for helping the residents of Balamory.

Rodd also presented educational programs for BBC Two.
Talkie Time
In 2010 and 2011, Rodd presented a children's educational show called 'Talkie Time'. This program helped children learn new things.
