Who is Roland Rat?
Roland Rat is a friendly rat puppet who became very popular on British TV. He first appeared in 1983 on a morning show called TV-am. Roland quickly became a star because of his funny personality and exciting adventures.
Roland's Home: The Ratcave
Roland Rat lived in a cool place called The Ratcave. This special home was located right underneath King's Cross railway station in London. It was a secret hideout perfect for a rat with big plans!
Roland's Friends and Family
Roland was not alone in his adventures. He had a cute baby brother named Little Reggie. His girlfriend was Glenis the Guinea Pig. Roland also had two best friends: Errol the Hamster and Kevin the Gerbil.
David Claridge, the same person who voiced Roland, also did the voices for Errol and Kevin. This meant all three characters could often be seen and heard together on screen, having fun.
