Rolf's Cartoon Club was a British TV show. It was first shown on CITV between 1989 and 1993. The show was all about cartoons and how they are made.
The program was similar to an earlier show called Rolf's Cartoon Time. It featured someone introducing different cartoons. They also drew pictures of the characters.
The show mostly featured cartoons from Warner Bros.. It also included animations by Raymond Briggs and John Lasseter. The show explored how animation works. It also gave viewers tips for making their own cartoons at home.

Joining the Cartoon Club
Rolf's Cartoon Club was more than just a TV show. It was also a real club that viewers could join. Members received a special club badge. This badge featured a character called "Rolfaroo".
Club members also got regular newsletters. These newsletters shared information about the TV show. John Lasseter, a famous animator, was club member number one.
Inside the Cartoon Cockpit
For most of the show, the host sat in the "Cartoon Cockpit". This was a studio with an easel. It had lots of art and animation tools.
Part of each show was a workshop. Here, a group of club members got help making their own animation.
Special Guests on the Show
In later series, famous guests appeared on the program. They would talk about their favorite cartoons. The show was created by Peter Murphy. He was the Head of Children's Programmes at HTV in Bristol at the time.
