Rolf's Playing Days
Rolf Schafstall started playing football when he was young. From 1950 to 1955, he played for a youth team called SF Hamborn 07.
Becoming a Professional Player
He then joined the main team of SF Hamborn 07 in 1955. He played there as a professional until 1963. Rolf was a versatile player, meaning he could play in different positions. He often played as a defender or a midfielder.
After leaving Hamborn, he moved to SSV Reutlingen. He played for this club from 1963 until 1969. His time as a player helped him understand the game very well. This knowledge was very useful later in his career.
