Romana is a small town, also called a comune (which means municipality or community), located on the beautiful island of Sardinia in Italy. It's part of the Province of Sassari.
Romana is about 150 kilometers (93 miles) northwest of Cagliari, which is a big city in Sardinia. It's also about 30 kilometers (19 miles) south of Sassari. In December 2004, about 608 people lived there. The town covers an area of about 21.6 square kilometers (8.3 square miles).
Romana shares its borders with several other towns. These include Cossoine, Monteleone Rocca Doria, Padria, Thiesi, and Villanova Monteleone.
