History of Romance
The community of Romance has an interesting past.
Early Days and Name Change
A place for sending and receiving mail, called a post office, was first opened here in 1881. At that time, the community was known by a different name: Nora. Later, in 1889, the name was officially changed to Romance.
Community Life
For many years, there was a school in the community called Romance School. This school helped educate the children living there. The post office continued to serve the community until 1967, when it was closed down.
