Ronaldo Cisneros' Early Life
Ronaldo Cisneros Morell was born in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico. His father, Mario Cisneros, named him Ronaldo after the famous Brazilian football star, Ronaldo. From a very young age, Ronaldo showed great talent in football. This talent caught the eye of a scout from the Santos Laguna youth team.
Ronaldo Cisneros' Club Career
Starting in Youth Football
Ronaldo joined the Santos youth academy in 2011. He worked his way up through different age groups, including the U-15, U-17, and U-20 teams. He was a top scorer for both the U-17 and U-20 squads. Because of his great performance, the coach, Pedro Caixinha, moved Ronaldo up to the main team.
Playing for Santos Laguna
Ronaldo Cisneros made his first professional appearance in the Liga MX on October 24, 2014. This was during a game against Pumas UNAM, which ended in a 1–1 tie. On September 13, 2017, he scored three goals in one game, known as a hat trick, against Juárez in the Copa MX. As the Santos team faced challenges, Ronaldo, being very young, did not play as much with the main team. He mostly played in the Copa MX and with the under-20s squad. His jersey number was first 132, but later it was changed to 97.
Moving to Guadalajara
On December 13, 2017, Ronaldo Cisneros joined Guadalajara. He scored his first goal for the club in the Liga MX on January 20, 2018. This exciting moment happened during his very first game with Guadalajara, against Club Necaxa.
Ronaldo Cisneros' International Career
Playing for Mexico's Youth Teams
Ronaldo Cisneros was chosen to play for Mexico's under-20 squad in the 2017 CONCACAF U-20 Championship. He scored 6 goals in just 5 games, making him one of the top scorers in the tournament. Ronaldo also played in the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup. In this tournament, he scored 2 goals in 5 games, with goals against Vanuatu and Senegal.
In May 2019, coach Jaime Lozano selected Cisneros to play in the Toulon Tournament. Mexico's team finished third in this competition.
