About Roque del Este
Roque del Este is the island furthest to the east in the Chinijo Archipelago. It is also the second smallest island in this group. Like all the Canary Islands, it was formed by volcanoes. The highest point on the island is 84 meters (276 feet) tall.
Nature and Protection
Roque del Este is a special place for nature. It is part of a protected area called the Los Islotes integral nature reserve. This reserve is also part of a larger natural park known as the Chinijo Archipelago. These protections help keep the island's unique plants and animals safe.
