Rosa María Britton (born July 28, 1936, in Panama City – died July 16, 2019, in Panama City) was a talented Panamanian doctor and novelist. She was known for her interesting stories and plays.

Early Life and Education

Rosa María Britton had a father from Cuba and a mother from Panama. She grew up and went to school in Panama City. For her high school studies, she moved to Havana, Cuba.

She decided to study medicine. She went to the University of Madrid in Spain. After that, she continued her medical training in the United States. She specialized in gynecology, which is the study of women's health, and oncology, which focuses on treating cancer. She moved back to Panama in 1973 and lived there for the rest of her life.

Rosa María Britton wrote many different types of stories. She wrote novels, short stories, and even plays for the theater. Her works often explored interesting characters and situations.
