Rose City is a small city located in Orange County, Texas, in the United States. It is about three miles east of Beaumont. In 2020, the city had a population of 326 people. Rose City is part of the larger Beaumont–Port Arthur Metropolitan Statistical Area.

History of Rose City
Rose City has an interesting past. In 1950, a large oilfield was found just south of the town. This oilfield was named Rose Hill. It produced a lot of crude oil and natural gas.
The oil and gas, along with sand and gravel pits, helped the area earn money. Later, in 1973, the people living in Rose City voted to officially become an incorporated town. This meant they could have their own local government.
