Rucandio is a small town and a municipality located in the province of Burgos. This area is part of the Castile and León region in Spain. In 2004, a census showed that about 85 people lived in Rucandio. By 2018, the population was around 65 people.

A Look Back in Time
Rucandio became its own official municipality when the old system of government, known as the Ancien Régime, ended. This happened a long time ago. Back then, the town had about 36 people living in it.
How Many People Live Here?
The number of people living in Rucandio has changed a lot over the years. In 1860, there were 271 people. The population grew quite a bit, reaching its highest point in 1940 with 501 residents.
However, after 1940, the population started to decrease. By 1970, it was 278 people. This trend continued, and by 2018, Rucandio had 65 inhabitants.
