Rudy Youngblood (born September 21, 1982) is an American actor and musician. He is known for his role as Jaguar Paw in the movie Apocalypto.

Early Life and Growing Up
Rudy Youngblood was born in Belton, Texas. He grew up with his two younger sisters. His mother is of Comanche descent. Rudy has also shared that his biological father was of Yaqui background.
Learning Skills and Sports
From the age of ten, Rudy started working in construction. He learned many skills like carpentry and brick laying. He also heard many stories from the people he worked with.
He went to local schools and was very good at sports. He competed in boxing and track athletics while attending Belton High School. He loved watching movies and became a big fan of films.
Choosing a Path
After finishing high school, Rudy was offered scholarships. These scholarships were for both art and track and field at major colleges. However, he chose to focus on Native dance instead. He has performed with the American Indian Dance Theatre.
Acting Career
Rudy Youngblood became an actor after attending a general casting call. The famous director Mel Gibson chose him for a main role. Rudy played the character of Jaguar Paw in the epic film Apocalypto (2006).
Performing in Apocalypto
In Apocalypto, Rudy performed all of his own stunts. He also learned the Yucatec Maya language for the movie. All of the talking in the film was in Maya. For his excellent work in Apocalypto, Rudy won an award. He received the Best Actor award at the 15th annual First Americans in the Arts awards.
Helping Others
Rudy Youngblood has worked to help people in his community. He has supported efforts to raise awareness about health issues. He has participated in walks and visited children in hospitals. He believes it is important to help others and make a positive difference. He has spoken about the importance of learning and understanding.
