Manuel Rui Azinhais Nabeiro (born March 28, 1931 – died March 19, 2023) was a famous Portuguese businessman. He was known for starting the Delta Cafés company, which became very successful.
Early Life and Business
Rui Nabeiro grew up helping his family with their businesses. He worked with his mother in a small grocery store. He also helped his father and uncles with their coffee roasting business. This was in a border area, which meant there was a lot of trade happening.
Rui Nabeiro became a leader in the coffee industry. In 1982, he created a company called Novadelta. Just two years later, in 1984, he built a new coffee roasting factory. This factory was the biggest of its kind on the Iberian Peninsula at that time.
