Runar Schildt facts for kids
Ernst Runar Schildt (born October 26, 1888, in Helsinki; died September 29, 1925) was a talented Swedish-speaking Finnish writer from Helsinki. He was known for his amazing short stories. His son, Göran Schildt, also became a famous writer and expert on art history. Even though Runar Schildt wrote his books in Swedish, his stories have been translated into many other languages, including Finnish, English, French, and German. This means many people around the world could enjoy his work!
Runar Schildt's Writing Journey
Runar Schildt started his writing career in 1912. His very first book was a collection of short stories called Den segrande Eros, which means "The Victorious Eros." He was a very busy writer and created a total of 33 short stories during his life. Out of these, 25 were published as books, which is a lot for a writer! His stories were so good that some of them were even turned into movies.
