Ryohei Suzuki (鈴木 亮平, Suzuki Ryōhei, born March 29, 1983 in Nishinomiya, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan) is a famous Japanese actor. He is known for many roles in movies and TV shows. He works with a talent agency called Horipro.

Early Life and Learning
Ryohei Suzuki became interested in learning English when he was young. This happened after he visited his uncle in Los Angeles.
School Days and Language Skills
When he was in elementary school, Ryohei and his brother went to the YMCA. In junior high, he joined a YMCA program in Nishinomiya City. A teacher there inspired him to study English very hard.
He did short trips to the United States and Australia during junior high. Later, in high school, he studied abroad for a year in Oklahoma, USA. He once said he went abroad because of his first crush!
In March 2006, he finished his studies at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. He earned a degree in English Studies.
Ryohei also became interested in German. He said he "fell in love with a German girl." In 2000, he won a national German speech contest. While he was a student, he also worked part-time at NHK, a big TV station.

Big Roles in Movies
In 2024, Ryohei played a main role in the Netflix movie City Hunter. This action film is based on a famous 1980s comic book. For this role, he won awards for Best Leading Actor and Best Comedy Performance. The movie also won Best Feature at the Asian Academy Creative Awards in Singapore.
In 2021, he won five Best Supporting Actor awards. He also received the Japan Academy Prize for his role in Last of the Wolves. That same year, he won Best Actor at the Asian Contents Awards in Korea. This was for his role in the TV series Tokyo MER: Mobile Emergency Room. A movie sequel for Tokyo MER came out in 2023.
In 2023, he starred in Egoist, a movie about a deep friendship. Ryohei's acting earned him the Rising Star Award at the New York Asian Film Festival. He was also nominated for Best Actor at the Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong.
Personal Life
Ryohei Suzuki announced his marriage on July 28, 2011. He married a woman who works for a web company in Tokyo. They met when he was a model. Their wedding was held on July 24 in Tokyo with only close family. On November 17, 2011, they welcomed their first child, a baby girl. He shared this happy news on his blog the same day.
