The Río Blanco is a river located in Chile. Its name means "white river" in Spanish. This river starts near a place called Cerro Altar.
It flows mostly towards the north for about 15 kilometers (about 9 miles). The Río Blanco then joins another river, the Juncal River. When these two rivers meet, they form the famous Aconcagua River. This meeting point is about 1,430 meters (4,690 feet) above sea level.
The end of the Río Blanco is close to Chile Route 60, an important road. The Los Leones River is the main stream that flows into the Río Blanco. Also, the lower part of the Río Blanco flows next to the Río Blanco National Reserve, a protected natural area.
