S.E.S. (which stands for Sea, Eugene, Shoo) was a very popular South Korean girl group. They were formed in 1997 by SM Entertainment. The group had three members: Bada, Eugene, and Shoo.
Their first album, I'm Your Girl, was a huge success. It sold 650,000 copies! This made it the second best-selling album ever by a female group in South Korea. Their next albums were also very popular. These included Sea & Eugene & Shoo (1998), Love (1999), and A Letter from Greenland (2000).

The Rise of S.E.S.
S.E.S. quickly became famous in South Korea. Many people called them the female version of H.O.T.. H.O.T. was another very popular group from the same music company.
Friendly Rivals
Around the same time, other successful girl groups also started. Groups like Fin.K.L, Jewelry (group), and Baby V.O.X were also very popular. They often competed with S.E.S. on music charts.
Group Disbandment
S.E.S. officially broke up in December 2002. Bada and Eugene decided not to renew their contracts with SM Entertainment. Shoo continued to work with SM Entertainment until 2006.
Final Album Release
In mid-2003, they released a special album called Beautiful Songs. This album was a collection of their best songs. It was their last release as a group for a while.
Reunion and Anniversary
In October 2016, the members of S.E.S. announced they would get back together. They wanted to celebrate their 20th anniversary since their debut. SM Entertainment confirmed that the group would release a new album and hold a concert.
20th Anniversary Project
In November 2016, S.E.S. released a new song called "Love [story]". This song was part of SM Entertainment's music project, SM Station. It was the start of their 20th-anniversary celebration.
Their special 20th-anniversary album, Remember, came out on January 2, 2017. It featured two main songs: "Remember" and "Paradise". The group also had a concert and a reality show as part of their celebration.
