The United Chinese Community Enrichment Services Society, also known as S.U.C.C.E.S.S., is a Canadian organization that helps people. It is based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
S.U.C.C.E.S.S. provides many different social services. These services help people, especially new immigrants, settle into their new lives in Canada.

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is a well-known group in Canada. It focuses on helping immigrants and people from Chinese communities. They offer support in many areas, like finding jobs or learning English.
The organization works to make sure everyone feels welcome. They help people connect with their new communities.
How S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Started
S.U.C.C.E.S.S. was founded in 1973. It was created to offer social services to Chinese people. This included many new immigrants arriving in Canada.
Several people from Hong Kong helped start the organization. Maggie Ip was the first chairperson. Other founders included Jonathan Lau, Linda Leong, Mei-Chan Lin, and Pauline To.
Growing to Help More People
By 1989, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. began helping more people from Taiwan and mainland China. This meant they were reaching a wider group of immigrants. In 1990, the organization helped about 60,000 people. Most of these people were young adults.
By 1991, their main office was in Vancouver Chinatown. They also had smaller offices in other areas. These included South Vancouver, Burnaby, and Richmond.
In 2003, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. had 350 employees. They had a main office in Vancouver and 11 other offices. These offices were all in the greater Vancouver area.
Leaders of S.U.C.C.E.S.S.
From 2006 to 2010, Tung Chan was the CEO of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. He had also been a city councilor in Vancouver. Since 2012, Queenie Choo has been the CEO.
Terry Yung, a former Vancouver Police Department officer, has also served the group. He has been a chair, vice-chair, and board member. S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is also part of the Chinese Benevolent Association of Vancouver.
Reaching Out Globally
In 2015, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. opened a special center in Beijing, China. This center was called the Active Engagement and Integration Project (AEIP). It helped immigrants even before they arrived in Canada.
As of 2015, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. was recognized by the Chinese government. It was listed as an "Overseas Chinese Services Organization."
Funding and Support
By 2019, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. had a budget of over $50 million. In the same year, the Canadian government provided $22.4 million in funding. This money helped S.U.C.C.E.S.S. offer settlement services to immigrants and refugees.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization received a grant. This grant helped them encourage immigrants in the Metro Vancouver area to get vaccinated. As of 2021, most of S.U.C.C.E.S.S.'s funding came from the Canadian government.
