Saïd Taghmaoui (Arabic: سعيد التغماوي) is a famous French actor. He was born on July 19, 1973. You might know him from movies like Wonder Woman, where he played Sameer, or G.I. Saïd Taghmaoui grew up in Villepinte, Seine-Saint-Denis, France. He came from a big family with eight children. His parents were from Morocco and had a Berber background.
Before becoming an actor, Saïd was a talented boxer. He was one of the top boxers in his weight class in France!
Becoming an Actor
Saïd Taghmaoui met director Mathieu Kassovitz. They worked together on the 1995 French film La Haine. This movie was very important for Saïd's career. His acting in La Haine was so good that he was nominated for a César Award. This award is one of the biggest honors in French cinema.
After La Haine, Saïd started acting in movies all over the world. He appeared in films made in Germany, Italy, Morocco, and the United States.
