Saúl Lisazo's Story
Saúl Lisazo grew up with five brothers and sisters: Maria, Fernanda, Araceli, Alejandro, Mauricio, and Vanina. A sad event in his childhood was when his father passed away when Saúl was only 12 years old.
Football was always a big part of his life. He started playing with his father when he was very young. This love for the sport took him to different countries around the world. In Spain, he met Mónica Viedma, a former model, who became his wife. They have two children, Paula, born in 1999, and Martin, born in 2003.
Saúl played football for many teams. He played for Sarmiento and Atlanta in Argentina. He also played in Belgium for SK Beveren, where his team won the Belgian League in 1979, and for KV Mechelen. He even played for Juventus in Brazil. Saúl hoped to play for Barcelona, but a knee injury sadly forced him to stop playing football completely.
In 1983, after his football career ended, Saúl decided to try something new: he became a model. A few years later, in 1988, he began studying acting in Spain. He learned at the academy of the Argentine actress Cristina Rotta. After two and a half years of training, he got his first acting job in a movie called "El Regreso a la Isla del Tesoro."
In the early 1990s, Saúl moved to Mexico City. There, he became the face of a big drink company, which made him famous around the world. At the same time, he also acted in theater plays like "La Fierecilla Domada" (which means "The Taming of the Shrew") and "Tartufo."
His big break in telenovelas came in 1990. A famous Mexican actress named Lucía Méndez really wanted him to be her co-star in her new show, "Amor de Nadie" (meaning "Nobody's Love"). This show became a huge hit across Latin America. After that, Saúl starred in many other popular telenovelas, including "Acapulco, Cuerpo y Alma" and "La Jaula de Oro" (meaning "The Golden Cage"). He also appeared in shows like Tenias que ser Tu and Prisionera de Amor.
