Saddle Mountain is a small place in Kiowa County, Oklahoma, United States. It is called an "unincorporated community." This means it does not have its own local government, like a city or town. It is located along State Highway 115.
A post office was open in Saddle Mountain from 1902 until 1955. The community got its name from the Saddle Mountain Baptist Mission. This mission was a religious center that started in 1903.
The actual Saddle Mountain is a hill near the Wichita Mountains. It is about one mile southeast of the community. This mountain is in Comanche County, which is a nearby area.
A famous Kiowa artist named Monroe Tsatoke was born here in 1904. At that time, this area was still known as Oklahoma Territory.
