St Andrews is a small town in the southern Canterbury region of New Zealand. It is located on State Highway 1. This highway is a main road that connects many places. St Andrews is about five kilometres south of Pareora and 17 kilometres south of Timaru.
The town was connected to Timaru by a railway line in 1876. It started to grow more after the land around the Pareora Run was divided into smaller pieces. Today, St Andrews is still a town that helps the farms and people living in the countryside nearby.
