Saint Anthony is a small, quiet place in eastern Miller County, Missouri. It's not a city or town with its own government. You can find it along Missouri Route A. It's also west of Missouri Route 42 and sits above Tavern Creek. Nearby places include Brays to the east and Iberia to the south.
How Saint Anthony Got Its Name
A post office opened in Saint Anthony in 1907. It helped people send and receive mail for many years. The post office closed its doors in 1929. The community was named after a local Catholic church. This church was named after a famous saint, Anthony of Padua. He was a well-known preacher and teacher.
