The Saint Paul Manor Apartments is a historic apartment building. It is located at 356 East Grand Boulevard in Detroit, Michigan. This building is part of the East Grand Boulevard Historic District. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

What the Building Looks Like
The Saint Paul Manor Apartments is a large building with 4 and a half stories. It is shaped like a "U" and made of brick. Inside, there are 36 apartments. There is also a space in the basement that was used for businesses.
Art Deco Style
The building shows off the Art Deco style. This was a popular design style in the 1920s and 1930s. It often uses geometric shapes, bold lines, and decorative patterns.
Special Details
The front of the building has special panels made of concrete or stone. These panels go all the way up the building. They have rounded arches at the top. Each window is surrounded by these panels. You can also see cool designs and patterns carved into them. The main entrance is in the middle of the building. It sticks out a little and has its own small room before you go inside.
History of Saint Paul Manor
The Saint Paul Manor was built in 1925. It was designed for people with good incomes. By 1926, all the apartments were rented out.
Early Ownership
The first owners were Morris Rosenberg and Louis Kaplan. In 1928, they faced some challenges and had to sell the building. A new owner took over in early 1929.
Always Apartments
The Saint Paul Manor has always been used as an apartment building. It has provided homes for many people over the years.
Current Owners
Today, the building is owned by Messiah Housing Corporation. This group fixed up the building in 1987. Messiah Housing Corporation also owns other apartment buildings nearby. These include the El Tovar Apartments and the Kingston Arms Apartments.
