Saladworks is a restaurant company that makes fresh salads, wraps, soups, and sandwiches. It's known as a "fast casual" restaurant. This means it offers quick service but with healthier food options than typical fast food. Saladworks has many locations across the United States and Canada. The company is always looking to open new restaurants in different cities and even other countries.

The Story of Saladworks
Saladworks was started on October 1, 1986. A person named John Scardapane founded the company. His partner, Gail Scardapane, helped with the brand and public relations.
The very first Saladworks restaurant opened in the Cherry Hill Mall. It was so popular that 12 more locations soon opened. These new restaurants were in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Saladworks began letting other people open their own Saladworks restaurants in 2001. This is called franchising. By 2007, there were 88 Saladworks locations in eight different states. Today, there are over 100 restaurants.
In 2015, a company called Centre Lane Partners bought Saladworks. They made Paul Steck the new CEO.
New Look for Restaurants
In October 2008, Saladworks started to change how its restaurants looked. They created a new design that made the places feel more modern.
Restaurants with this new design are called "3G Restaurants." These changes included special refrigerated cases for salads. They also used lighting that looked like natural daylight. This made all Saladworks locations look more alike and feel fresh.
Special Programs
Signature Salads
In January 2008, Saladworks launched its "Signature Series." For this program, four famous chefs created special seasonal salads. These unique salads were available for a limited time.
Healthy Choices
Saladworks introduced "True Nutrition" in April 2010. The goal was to make their menu even healthier. They wanted their main salads to have less than 500 calories.
The new menu offered over 50 different salad ingredients. These included healthy options like avocado, edamame, and chickpeas. This program helped customers make nutritious choices.
Company Recognition
Saladworks has been recognized in the restaurant industry. In 2012, Entrepreneur Magazine ranked Saladworks among the top 500 franchises in America.
The company was also featured in QSR Magazine in 2010. An article there listed Saladworks as one of "10 Great Franchise Deals." This shows that Saladworks is seen as a good business opportunity.
