Soldier Dog: A Story of Friendship and War
Her first book, Soldier Dog, tells the touching story of a young boy who is lonely and picked on. He joins the army during the First World War and works with the brave Messenger Dog Service. The story of the boy's dog, named Stanley Ryder, is based on the real-life adventures of a dog called Airedale Jack.
