Sami Beigi (born Saman Es'hagh Beigi on November 22, 1982) is a talented Iranian singer and songwriter. He is known for his unique music style. Sami Beigi currently lives in Irvine, California, in the United States.
Sami Beigi grew up in Sweden. He went to a special music school there. At this school, he learned to play many different musical instruments. He also started to write his own songs and create music. His favorite instrument is the guitar.
Music Journey
Starting with Black Cats
Sami Beigi was once a member of a famous Persian music group called the Black Cats. He became well-known with a song he wrote for the band. This popular song was called "Yeki Bood Yeki Nabood." He worked with his friend Eddie Atttar during this time.
Becoming a Solo Artist
After two years with the Black Cats, Sami Beigi decided to start his own music career. He became a solo singer and songwriter. He has released many successful songs on his own. Some of his most popular singles include "In Eshghe," "Ey Joonam," and "HMG."
One of his biggest hits was the song "Kaghaz va Ghalam." It was released on February 28, 2014. This song was played over 700,000 times on the RadioJavan website in just four days!
TV Appearances
Sami Beigi has appeared on television shows. He was part of a special TV program for Persian New Year (Nowrouz) in 2012 on Manoto TV.
He also appeared on BBC Persian's Nowrouz special TV program in 2014. During this show, he performed three of his popular songs: "Ey Joonam," "HMG," and "Kaghaz & Ghalam." In an interview on the show, he shared that it took him about two to three years to finish writing "Kaghaz & Ghalam."
In another interview with "Voice of Farsi," Sami Beigi mentioned something interesting. He said that even though he had been writing songs and singing since he was 15 years old, he never thought he would have such a successful solo career.
