Samragyee Rajya Laxmi Shah (Nepali: सम्राज्ञी राज्य लक्ष्मी शाह), born on November 18, 1995, is a popular Nepalese film actress. She is known as Samragyee RL Shah and works in Nepali movies. Samragyee has won several awards for her acting, including awards from the NFDC National Film Awards and NEFTA Film Awards.
She has starred in many Nepali films like A Mero Hajur 2 (2017), Intu Mintu Londonma (2018), and Rato Tika Nidharma (2019). Samragyee started her acting career in 2016 with the romantic movie Dreams. This movie was a big success and helped her win many awards for her performance. She also has a connection to the Nepali royal family.

Early Life and Family
Samragyee Shah was born on November 18, 1995, in Birgunj, Nepal. Her parents are Neha Rajya Laxmi Shah and Bikash Bikram Shah. Samragyee is connected to the Nepali royal family because her grandfather, Pashupati Bikram Shah, was related to them.
She went to St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School in Birgunj for her first three grades. Later, she studied at Sai Baba School in New Delhi, India. After finishing sixth grade, she attended the Royal Academy of India in Kathmandu.
In 2017, Samragyee was named one of the "Top 10 Women and Men of the Year" by a weekly magazine called Kantipur Saptahik. She was ranked tenth on this list.
Samragyee's Career Journey
Starting as a Model in 2014
In 2014, Samragyee took part in the Face of Classic Diamond Jewellers fashion competition. She won second runner-up and received a cash prize. After this competition, she was featured on the cover of M&S VMAG magazine. In an interview, she shared her dream of becoming a model. She felt more confident and beautiful after the competition. Samragyee said the event helped her become more popular and improve her modeling skills. It also made her realize she had a lot more to learn and encouraged her to work hard.
Film Debut and Success (2016–2017)
In 2016, Samragyee made her first movie appearance in the romantic drama Dreams, directed by Bhuwan K.C.. She starred alongside Anmol K.C. and Sandhya K.C. In the film, she played Kavya, a character who falls in love.
Samragyee was chosen for this role from 26 other girls. The movie was a big hit at the box office. It earned a lot of money in its first few days and weeks. Because of her performance in Dreams, Samragyee won several awards for Best Debut Actor. These awards included the Dcine Awards, Kamana Film Awards, NFDC National Film Awards, and NEFTA Film Awards.
In 2017, Samragyee played the main role in A Mero Hajur 2, which was the first movie directed by Jharana Thapa. She starred with Salon Basnet and Salin Man Bania. In the movie, she played Maya, a girl who falls in love with someone who had a crush on her when they were younger. This film broke a record for the highest single-day earnings in Nepal. Critics enjoyed the movie, saying it reminded them of fun school days. Samragyee's acting in this film led to her being nominated for another National Film Award.

In 2018, Samragyee appeared in four Nepali films: Mangalam, Timi Sanga, Kaira, and Intu Mintu Londonma. In Mangalam, she had a small guest role as a psychiatrist.
In Shishir Rana's Timi Sanga, Samragyee played the main character, who was a Non Resident Nepali (NRN). Even though the movie received some criticism for other reasons, Samragyee's acting was praised by critics. One reviewer noted that she seemed very comfortable in her role and had improved a lot since her first movie.
In Kaira, Samragyee played the main role alongside actor Aaryan Sigdel. The movie did not do very well financially, but Samragyee's performance was still praised. Reviewers said her acting was good, especially in emotional scenes, where she was natural and calm.
In Intu Mintu Londonma, directed by Renasha Bantawa Rai, Samragyee played Mintu, a girl who falls for her friend Intu without realizing it. Her acting in this film received mixed reviews, but some said her emotional scenes were getting better. The movie was a big success at the box office. On March 30, 2018, Samragyee received the Star of the Year award at the FAAN Awards, along with actor Pradeep Khadka. The award was given by the then Prime Minister of Nepal, KP Sharma Oli.
Films in 2019
In 2019, Samragyee worked on Maruni, starring with Puspa Khadka and Rebika Gurung. The film's title song, Jaam Na Maya Jaam, featuring Samragyee and Pushpa Khadkha, was released in June 2019. Maruni was released on August 30, 2019. Film critics praised Samragyee for taking on a different kind of role in Maruni, but the movie did not do well with audiences or at the box office.
Later, Samragyee was cast in Ashok Sharma's movie, Rato Tika Nidharma. She reportedly received a large payment for her role, making her one of the highest-paid actresses in Nepali cinema at that time. She appeared alongside Neeta Dhungana and Ankit Sharma. The movie was released on September 27, 2019, during the Dashain festival in Nepal. However, the film did not perform well at the box office.
