Samy Sana has won important titles like the ISKA and WBC Muaythai Interim Super Middleweight champion. He also competed in the well-known ONE Championship fighting league. In August 2020, a sports news group called Combat Press ranked him as the 7th best lightweight fighter in the world.

Samy Sana's Fighting Journey
Early Career Highlights
Samy Sana started his professional fighting career in 2001. He quickly showed his talent in the ring. On June 16, 2013, he won the Wicked One Tournament. He beat two opponents, Guimba Coulibaly and Kevin Renahy, in one night. This showed how strong and skilled he was.
Later that year, on October 4, 2013, Samy Sana faced Tass Tsitsiras in Australia. He lost this fight by disqualification. This happened because he accidentally hit Tsitsiras in the throat with an illegal knee.
Sana continued to win major championships. On May 27, 2016, he fought at the "Best of Siam" event in Thailand. He won the WBC Muaythai World Super Middleweight Championship by knocking out Eakchanachai Kaewsamrit.
On December 9, 2017, Samy Sana won another big title. He defeated Fernando Calzetta to become the ISKA Muay Thai World Middleweight Champion. In March 2018, he won the "La Nuit Des Titans" tournament in France. He beat both Kevin Renahy and Zakaria Laaouatni on the same night.
Competing in ONE Championship
Samy Sana joined ONE Championship, a major martial arts organization, on June 29, 2018. His first fight was against Sorgraw Petchyindee, which he lost. However, he quickly bounced back. On November 23, 2018, he defeated Armen Petrosyan. He then faced Jo Nattawut in February 2019, where he lost a close fight.
The Featherweight Grand Prix
Samy Sana was chosen to compete in the ONE Super Series Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix. This was a big tournament with some of the best fighters in the world. In the first round, on May 17, 2019, he surprised everyone. He defeated the famous fighter Yodsanklai Fairtex. This win was a huge upset and was even named "Upset of the Year" by Combat Press.
After this big win, Sana moved on to the semi-finals. On August 16, 2019, he fought Dzhabar Askerov and won by a majority decision. This victory sent him to the Grand Prix Final.
In the final, on October 13, 2019, Samy Sana faced Giorgio Petrosyan. It was a tough fight, and Sana lost by a unanimous decision. Even though he didn't win the final, his performance in the Grand Prix was amazing. He became one of the top French kickboxers in the ONE Championship rankings.
After the Grand Prix
After the Grand Prix, Samy Sana continued to fight. He won a fight against Martin Meoni in October 2020. Later that year, on December 25, 2020, he fought Jamal Yusupov. Sana lost this fight by a unanimous decision.
The 2021 Kickboxing Grand Prix
In September 2021, Samy Sana was announced as a participant in another big tournament: the 2021 ONE Kickboxing Featherweight Grand Prix. He faced Chingiz Allazov in his first fight. Unfortunately, Sana lost this fight quickly, in just 39 seconds, after a punch to the body. This was his first knockout loss in his career.
