San Agustín del Guadalix is a town in Spain. It is located north of the Community of Madrid. The town is also close to the Sierra de Guadarrama mountains.
The town is surrounded by other towns. To the north is Pedrezuela. El Molar and Algete are to the east. Colmenar Viejo is to the south and west.
We don't know exactly when San Agustín del Guadalix started. But it seems people called the Iberians lived here a very long time ago. This was even before Christianity.

San Agustín del Guadalix has become a popular place to live. Many people who work in Madrid choose to live here. This has made the town grow a lot.
Population Increase
In the late 1900s, about 2,459 people lived here. By 2006, the population grew to over 9,000. In 2022, there were 13,608 people living in the town. This means the population has more than tripled.
How the Town Has Changed
This growth has changed the town's look. Older two-story buildings are being replaced. Now, many blocks of flats are being built. Also, the town's main jobs have changed. In the past, people worked in farming and raising animals. Today, heavy industry is more common.
Festivals and Celebrations
The town has a special festival each year. It takes place on the third Sunday of May. This festival honors the Virgin of Navalazarza.
