Mostazal (pronounced mosta-SAL) is a commune in Chile, a country in South America. It is located in the O'Higgins Region, specifically in the Cachapoal Province. The main city in this commune is called San Francisco de Mostazal.

Mostazal's Location and Size
Mostazal covers an area of about 524 square kilometers (that's about 202 square miles). The central square, called Plaza de San Francisco, is located at an elevation of about 500 meters (about 1,640 feet) above sea level.

According to a census taken in 2002, Mostazal had 21,866 people living there. This included 11,038 men and 10,828 women.
