San José de Colinas is a town and a municipality located in the Santa Bárbara area of Honduras. It is known for being a colorful place, about a two-hour drive from San Pedro Sula. In 2013, the town itself had about 5,215 people living there. The whole municipality was home to 18,791 people.

The San José de Colinas municipality includes 34 smaller villages. The biggest of these villages is San Miguel of Lajas, which had 828 residents in 2013.
