The Glen Helen Amphitheater is a very large outdoor music venue. It is located in San Bernardino, California. This amazing place can hold 65,000 people! It is the biggest outdoor music spot in the whole United States.

About the Amphitheater
The Glen Helen Amphitheater is found in the beautiful hills of Glen Helen Regional Park. It first opened its doors in 1993. This venue is designed to host huge concerts and festivals.
A Big Place for Music
The amphitheater has different areas for people to watch shows. There are special seats close to the stage for 10,902 people. These include orchestra, box, and loge sections. There is also a very large lawn area. This grassy space can hold 54,098 people.
A Look Back: Its History
This venue was originally built for a big music event called the US Festival. It was used for the US Festival in 1982 and again in 1983. Back then, it could hold up to 300,000 people on its grassy areas.
Over the years, the amphitheater has had a few different names. When it first opened in 1993, it was called the Blockbuster Pavilion. From 2003 to 2008, it was known as the Hyundai Pavilion. Then, from 2008 to 2017, it was called the San Manuel Amphitheater. Since January 2017, it has been known as the Glen Helen Amphitheater.

Many famous artists have performed at this venue. On September 15, 1993, Tina Turner performed a concert here. This show was part of her What's Love? Tour. It was even recorded and shown on TV as What's Love...? Live.
More recently, Garth Brooks performed several concerts at the amphitheater. He had a special agreement to perform there once a year. His last concert at Glen Helen was in 2021.
