About San Pasqual Battlefield Park
This park is a California State Park and a California Historical Landmark. It covers about 50 acres (20 hectares) of land. The park is located near the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. You can find it on San Pasqual Valley Road, south of Escondido, California. It is also on Highway 78 in San Diego County.
How the Park Was Created
A group called the Native Sons of the Golden West helped create this park. They worked hard to raise money and protect the land. Their efforts led to the park being given to the State of California.
