Sancha of Castile (born around 1139, died 1179) was a queen from a long time ago. She was the daughter of Alfonso VII of León and Castile, who was a king and an emperor. Her mother was Berengaria of Barcelona. Sancha was one of seven children born to her parents.
Sancha became queen when she married Sancho VI of Navarre on July 20, 1153. King Sancho VI helped his kingdom, Navarre, become an important part of the political world in Europe. When Queen Sancha died in August 1179, old records called Annales Toledanos mentioned her as "the queen of Navarre, daughter of the Emperor."
