Sand Creek is a small, unincorporated community. It is located in the town of Sand Creek, within Dunn County, Wisconsin, United States. An unincorporated community means it is a group of homes and businesses without its own local government. Sand Creek is about 6.5 miles (10.5 km) west-southwest of New Auburn. The former Sand Creek School building is now home to a few small businesses. The local U.S. Post Office is also located in this building. Parks and Recreation
Sand Creek has three park areas for fun and outdoor activities.
- The riverside park has a shelter, a stage for bands, and playground equipment. It also has a boat landing for the Red Cedar River.
- The second park is along Sand Creek itself. It has sports courts and playground equipment.
- The third park is Myron Park. This park is a campground located north of the business area along County Road I. It has many campsites, restrooms, and bath facilities. Myron Park is also located along the banks of the Red Cedar River. Campers often enjoy floating down the Red Cedar River in the summer. Their trip usually ends in the business district of Sand Creek, which takes about two hours.
