Sanders is a small, unincorporated community located in the northeastern part of Treasure County, Montana, in the United States. It sits right along the Yellowstone River.
You can find Sanders by following local roads east of Hysham. Hysham is the main town, or "county seat," for Treasure County. Sanders is about 2,602 feet (793 meters) above sea level.
Sanders used to have its own post office. It first opened on March 30, 1904. It closed for a short time in 1905, but then reopened on December 1, 1906. The post office finally closed its doors on July 29, 1994. Even though the post office is gone, the community still uses its own special ZIP code, which is 59076.

Schooling in Sanders
