Treasure County is a small area of land in the state of Montana, USA. It's like a special district with its own local government. In 2020, about 762 people lived here, making it one of the least populated counties in Montana. The main town and where the county government is located is called Hysham. Treasure County was created in 1919 from a part of Rosebud County. It was given the name "Treasure" because people hoped it would attract new families to settle there.
