Geography of Sandia Knolls
Sandia Knolls is located in the northeastern part of Bernalillo County. It sits at the southern end of a smaller mountain called Monte Largo. To the west of Sandia Knolls are the Sandia Mountains.
The community shares a border to its north with an undeveloped part of the town of Edgewood. Other nearby communities include San Antonito and Sandia Park, which are about 3 miles (4.8 km) to the west.
