Starting His Career in Brazil
Sandro da Silva began his football journey in 1992 with a team called Taubaté in Brazil. He played there for a few years before joining Palmeiras in 1995, another well-known Brazilian club.
Playing in Europe and Beyond
In 1996, Sandro moved to Europe to play for the Belgian club Royal Antwerp. He was a key player for them from 1996 to 2001. After his time in Belgium, Sandro's career took him to many different countries. He played in Mexico for Tecos, Venezuela for Deportivo Italchacao, Japan for Kashima Antlers, Paraguay for Olimpia, and Chile for Unión La Calera. This shows how widely he traveled to play the sport he loved!
Life After Playing: Coaching
After retiring as a player, Sandro da Silva decided to stay involved in football as a coach. He worked with the youth teams at Taubaté, the same club where he started his playing career. He also coached the under-23 team for Joseense. From 2019 to 2020, he served as an assistant coach for Taubaté.
