Santa Lucía is a lively city in the Canelones Department of southern Uruguay. It's also the name of the area, or municipality, that the city is part of. This city is named after the Río Santa Lucía (Santa Lucía River), which flows nearby.

Santa Lucía is found in the southern part of Uruguay. It sits where two important roads meet: Route 11 and Route 63. The city is about 60 kilometers (about 37 miles) northwest of Montevideo, the capital city of Uruguay. The Santa Lucía River flows along the city's northwestern edge.
