The Santander Tower is a very tall building, called a skyscraper, located in downtown Dallas, Texas. It stands at 1601 Elm Street, right next to a special park called Thanks-Giving Square. This building has 50 floors above ground and six more floors underground!

When it was finished in 1982, the Santander Tower was one of the tallest buildings in Dallas. It was the second tallest at that time. Today, it is the 8th tallest building in the city. The building is owned and managed by a company called Woods Capital. It was designed by the architecture company HKS Architects. The building used to be known as the Thanks-Giving Tower, but its name changed in 2020.

About Santander Tower

The Santander Tower is 197 meters (about 646 feet) tall. It is a very important building for businesses in Dallas. Many companies have their offices here.

Building Features

The Santander Tower is connected to the Dallas Pedestrian Network. This is a system of tunnels and skywalks that lets people walk between buildings in downtown Dallas without going outside. It is also connected to the Bullington Truck Terminal, which helps with deliveries and moving things in and out of the building.

History of its Height

When the Santander Tower was completed in 1982, it became the second tallest building in Dallas. It was taller than a building called Elm Place. Just one year later, another building named 1700 Pacific was finished. This made Santander Tower the third tallest building. Over time, more tall buildings were built in Dallas. Now, the Santander Tower is the 8th tallest building in the city.
