Sante Peranda was a talented artist from Italy. He learned to paint from other famous painters. First, he was a student of Leonardo Corona. Later, he studied with Palma il Giovane. Sometimes, people also called him Santo Peranda. He became a well-known painter in his time.

Sante Peranda created many important paintings. His art often showed religious scenes or historical events. Here are some of his famous works:
- He painted a picture called Descent from the cross. This artwork is in the San Procolo church in Venice.
- He also painted The defeat of the Saracens. This large painting can be found in the Ducal Palace of Modena.
- For the church of the San Bartolome in Venice, he painted Gathering of the Manna.
- In 1623, he finished a series of paintings called Glorious Mysteries. These are in the San Nicolò church in Treviso.
