Sara Lee Classic facts for kids
The Sara Lee Classic was a golf tournament for professional women golfers. It was part of the LPGA Tour, which stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association. This tournament took place every year from 1988 to 2002.
For most of its history, from 1988 to 1999, the tournament was held at the Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tennessee. In its last three years, from 2000 to 2002, the tournament moved to the Legends Club of Tennessee in Franklin, Tennessee. When it moved, its name changed to the Electrolux USA Championship. Famous singers Vince Gill and Amy Grant helped host the event during these final years.

The tournament had many memorable moments throughout its history.
- 1988: The very first tournament ended in a thrilling playoff. Four players competed for the win. Patti Rizzo won on the fifth extra hole, beating Sherri Turner.
- 1991: Golf legend Nancy Lopez won the tournament while she was pregnant with her third child. She finished two shots ahead of Kris Monaghan.
- 1995: Michelle McGann earned her first-ever victory on the LPGA Tour at this event. She won by just one shot over the previous year's champion, Laura Davies.
- 2002: Annika Sörenstam won the final tournament. She played an amazing final round, shooting a score of 64. She finished one shot ahead of Pat Hurst. Hurst had been tied for the lead on the last hole but had a mistake that cost her the win.
