Sarah Kathryn Hammer (born August 18, 1983) is an American former professional racing cyclist. She is famous for her amazing skills in Track cycling, a sport where athletes race on special indoor tracks. Sarah is one of America's most successful track athletes. She has won eight world championships and four Olympic silver medals.

Sarah Hammer announced her retirement from professional cycling on September 23, 2017.

Sarah Hammer had a very successful career in track cycling. She became a world champion many times. She was especially good at two events: the individual pursuit and the omnium.

World Championship Wins

Sarah won the individual pursuit five times at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships. These wins happened in 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, and 2013. The individual pursuit is a race against the clock.
