Sarah Richardson (born October 22, 1971) is a famous Canadian interior decorator and television host. An interior decorator is someone who helps make indoor spaces like homes look beautiful and feel comfortable. She is known for her popular home design shows on HGTV in Canada.
Sarah started her career in 1994 as a prop stylist, which means she found and arranged objects for photoshoots and TV sets. Since then, she has become a well-known TV personality. She has won awards for her work, including a Gemini Award and a Canada's Top 40 Under 40 award, which recognizes successful Canadians.
Early Life and School
Sarah Richardson was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Her family was very involved in art and design. Her mother, Susan Cuddy, was a director of design for the city of Toronto. Her father, Douglas Richardson, was a professor who taught about the history of art and buildings at the University of Toronto. Her brother, Theo, is also a designer.
Sarah went to high school at Havergal College in Toronto. After high school, she attended the University of Western Ontario. In 1993, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Arts, where she studied both art history and creating art.

In 1998, Sarah started her own interior design company called Sarah Richardson Design. Through her company, she helps people design and decorate their homes.
