Scapa is a small community called a hamlet in Alberta, Canada. It is located within Special Area No. 2. In 1975, only four people lived there.
What is Scapa Like?
Scapa is a very small place. It is home to St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Long ago, it also had two large buildings called grain elevators. These were used to store grain from local farms.
How Did Scapa Get Connected?
A Canadian National Railway line was built through Scapa. This railway was finished in 1934. It helped connect the community to other places.
Remembering the Past
In 2020, the people of Scapa built a special memorial. This memorial remembers the people affected by a big snowstorm. The blizzard happened in 1906.
