Team Scotland: Flag and Anthem

Commonwealth Games Scotland logo
Logo of Team Scotland

When Scotland competes at the Commonwealth Games, they use the St Andrew's Cross. This blue flag with a white diagonal cross is used by all Scottish sports teams. It shows that they represent Scotland as a separate country from the United Kingdom.

Since 2010, Scotland has used "Flower of Scotland" as their victory anthem. This is the song played when a Scottish athlete wins a gold medal. Before 2010, they used "Scotland the Brave". Even earlier, before 1958, "Scots Wha Hae" was the anthem. Athletes chosen for the 2010 Games voted to pick "Flower of Scotland".
