The Scottish Sub Aqua Club (ScotSAC) started in Glasgow in 1953. It is a group that teaches people how to scuba dive. ScotSAC is a special type of company that doesn't aim to make a profit. It has about 70 local groups, called branches, and 1200 members.

ScotSAC instructors are volunteers who teach members how to dive safely. ScotSAC is also the official group for Sub Aqua (underwater activities) in Scotland. This means they set the rules and standards for diving in the country.

ScotSAC has created a full training program. This program helps members learn how to dive safely in the waters around Scotland. The diving certificates you get from ScotSAC are known and respected in many places around the world.
